Simon Van den Bossche finalist for Baekelandprijs 2021

Former IPI master student ing. Simon Van den Bossche reached the final 2 for the "Leo Baekelandprijs" in 2021.

His thesis on "Computer vision based detection of drafting while cycling" was selected among a collection of top tier master theses from the students of Industrial Engineering. His competitor eventually claimed the title after a very close jury decision.

During his time as a master student with IPI, Simon performed outstanding work, under the supervision of promotors prof. Peter Veelaert and prof. Wilfried Philips. After his studies at our Faculty, Simon earned a master's degree in Business Economics, and is currently pursuing a career at Inetum-Realdolmen.
